Are you a passionate veterinary surgeon eager to find the right role for you? Are you looking for somewhere where you will be encouraged to develop your skills and surrounded by enthusiastic and supportive peers? Then look no further…
Our clients are a well-established Independent practice near Reading, with a loyal client base and varied small animal caseload, who are currently on the hunt for a compassionate and hard-working veterinary surgeon to join their close knit team.
The role is full time, permanent, working 4 or 4.5-days per week and just 1 in 5 Saturday mornings. Depending on experience, part time applicants will be considered and as the practice now outsource their out of hours services you can be sure your weekends and evenings will always remain free. Your day will be split between consultations and surgery so you have ample time to practice and develop those skills, admin time is built in and you will have clinical freedom to work up your cases, without worrying about targets, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The current clinical team consists of 3 Veterinary surgeons, Head nurse, 2 nurse’s and 5 student nurses. You will also be supported by the practice manager who has been in practice for over 30 years and 3 reception/office team members. You will be joining a warm, devoted group of likeminded individuals who enjoy socialising both in and outside of work and support each other in practice everyday.
The practice itself is well equipped with ultrasound (including cardiac ultrasound machine), digital x-ray, orthopaedic kit, endoscopy and full, brand new in-house laboratory. It is situated in the stunning countryside just outside Reading, offering you the advantage of scenic wood and parkland as well as easy access to bustling town centre. There is onsite car parking at the practice and with the M4 close to hand you can easily travel to Bristol and the South West and are just 1hr from London city centre to the east.
Benefits:
Salary of £40,000 to £60,000 Depending on experience
30 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with length of service
Certificates fully supported and funded, including additional CPD days when undertaking a certificate.
Professional membership fees paid
Private health care
Staff pets welcome in practice
No out of hours or Sundays
