Are you searching for a role that offers a harmonious blend of professional growth, work-life balance, and a supportive team environment? Join our clients, a thriving practice that has spent the last 10 years establishing itself as one of the largest first opinion single-site practices in the UK. With exciting expansion plans for the coming year, including a 24-hour hospital with permanent CT, this is an exciting time to become part of their journey.
The practice is an independent, small animal practice based in Wiltshire, dedicated to revolutionising veterinary care. Their state-of-the-art facilities include dental x-ray, laparoscopy, ultrasound, and a full IDEXX laboratory. They pride themselves on an open and transparent approach, providing clients with real-time updates on their pets’ medical records and continue to build on the services they offer patients and clients inhouse.
So, why Choose this role?
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 4-day work week (35 hours) with a fixed day off and a 1:4 Saturday rota, finishing at 4pm. No out-of-hours or inpatient on-call duties, ensuring you have time to recharge.
- Supportive Environment: Work alongside dedicated nurses who assist with patient handling, note-taking, and medication administration. Our team ethos ensures you’re never alone in managing the unpredictable nature of emergency cases.
- Career Development: Benefit from 5 days of CPD with an annual budget of £1,600, and full support for pursuing certificates. Professional fees for RCVS and Veterinary Defence Society are also covered by the practice.
- Competitive Salary: Earn between £50,000 to £65,000, depending on experience. With additional perks including 5 weeks of holiday plus bank holidays and access to the Perk Box reward scheme.
- Community and Culture: Be part of a sociable team that enjoys activities outside work, from Christmas parties to summer BBQs and outings to local attractions. The local region offers a variety of leisure activities and quick access to the M4 for trips further afield.
Role Requirements:
- Skills and Experience: Confidence in routine surgery and a focus on managing complex procedures and emergencies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, working in wards with inpatient and with the more unpredictable emergency cases.
- Passion for ECC: A keen interest in emergency and inpatient work is essential. You should be confident in your ability to lead in-patient shifts and handle the dynamic nature of emergency cases.
