The practice are seeking a dedicated Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon to complement the current team of 3 Small Animal Vets, 5 Large Animal Vets, 3 Nurses, and 2 Student Nurses. This role promises you a rich blend of both small and large animal work, with a flexible mix of clinical duties that span across dairy, beef, and sheep herds. It offers you the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks including Reproduction – Fertility and Scanning, Health Plans and Disease Investigations helping you develop your skills and cultivate a robust client base.
The centre is not only located in an area of scenic splendour but is also conveniently situated within an hour's drive from both Dublin and Belfast. Furthermore, the centre is expanding with a new part-time practice, enhancing the work environment for your new team.
This position is available for your immediate start and allows you the choice of both full-time and part-time contracts. The centre operates an equally shared rota among the Vets, with the current on-call commitment being 1 in 6 nights or less, and terms are negotiable.
Remuneration starts at £40,000 and scales with experience. The benefits package is comprehensive, including 6.6 weeks of pro rata paid holiday inclusive of bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell holidays. Maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave, and surrogacy pay are enhanced. Your development is supported, and you will benefit from 5 days of paid CPD leave, a generous £1750 CPD allowance per annum pro rata and an increase in allowance if you hold a certificate.
Additional benefits encompass paid professional memberships such as RCVS/VDS and BVA, birthday leave, discounted veterinary fees, access to various discounts including gym memberships, paid bereavement leave, enhanced company sick pay, opportunities for professional development through Academy and Leadership courses, participation in colleague engagement surveys, annual pay reviews, and a cycle to work scheme.
