Are you a dedicated and passionate vet looking for a rewarding role in a picturesque location?
A busy first opinion small animal and equine practice in the Channel Islands is seeking a Night Vet to join their esteemed team. This role offers an exceptional balance of professional fulfilment and personal well-being.
Imagine working in a state-of-the-art practice equipped with all the necessary tools to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, both medically and surgically. You'll be part of a team of twelve highly skilled vets, including several certificate holders, who are committed to delivering the highest standard of care to a discerning clientele. The practice's geographical location means that you will have the autonomy to make critical decisions, enhancing your professional growth.
The position involves working 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off, from 6:15pm to 8:15am, with consultations scheduled between 7:00pm and 8:00pm. While the primary focus is on small animals, those with large animal experience are also encouraged to apply. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a supportive environment, as you will be backed by a large, happy team in a practice that is 95% companion animal-focused.
Island life offers an outstanding quality of life. The island is not only beautiful and safe but also boasts excellent schools and a private healthcare system. With great transport links to the UK and a favourable 20% top rate of income tax, this is an ideal place to settle down and raise a family.
The benefits package is impressive, including a highly competitive salary, 6.6 weeks of paid holiday (including bank holidays), and a £1750 CPD allowance per annum. Additional perks include a £1000 relocation allowance, Health Plan, paid RCVS membership and two other subscriptions, VDS cover, and enhanced family leave policies. Employees also enjoy access to the My Perks scheme, offering discounts on shopping, travel, and entertainment, as well as a Cycle to Work scheme, company sick pay, and annual pay reviews. The practice places a strong emphasis on employee well-being and career progression, ensuring a supportive and engaging work environment.
If you are ready to take the next step in your veterinary career while enjoying the serene and enriching lifestyle that this location has to offer, this role is perfect for you.
