If you are an experienced veterinary surgeon looking for an out of hours/emergency and critical care role in a well-established, 24hr RCVS accredited hospital stop looking!
Our clients have a fantastic opportunity for you to join their vibrant and supportive dedicated night team. The role itself is out of hours (OOH’s) working 7 nights on and 14 nights off, on a rota with the other OOH’s vets. You will start at 7.30pm and finish at 8.30am allowing a great work life balance and continuity in shift pattern.
Candidates will ideally be enthusiastic, have some experience working out of hours and be passionate about providing exceptional patient care. You should have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a larger team, but also be confident working sole charge and making decisions on the spot.
This role will offer any lucky vet a wide and varied caseload including some exotics. You will be joining a dedicated night team of 1 vet, 2 qualified nurses and 2 assistants and a day team of 15 vets, 14 qualified nurses, 14 student nurses/assistants, 1 Hydrotherapist and 1 Physiotherapist. The experience and special interests of this exceptional clinical team mean they can offer even more to their patients in house including emergency and critical care, ophthalmology, cardiology, exotic care and soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
As you would expect, the hospital has state of the art facilities and equipment, including MRI, Ultrasound, CT scanner, digital x-ray, laparoscopes and endoscopes as well as Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy rehabilitation space.
The practice is based in Essex, just 10 minutes walk from the train station, with onsite parking for those who drive. It is just a short 35minutes train journey to London city centre, the seaside and/or Stanstead and Southend airports for national and international travel. Surrounded by lovely country parks and places to eat, drink and shop you won’t be at a loss for how to spend your free time while working here.
