Imagine working in a supportive, well-established veterinary practice nestled in the picturesque county of Kent, just a 40-minute train journey from London.

This Veterinary Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their esteemed team.

At this Small Animal and Exotic group, the emphasis is on providing top-tier care for small animals, supported by a team with an impressive 84 years of veterinary experience and a collective 321 years of experience across the entire team. This practice prides itself on a collaborative and friendly environment where professional growth is encouraged, and work-life balance is a priority.

As a Veterinary Surgeon at this esteemed practice, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside a skilled team of vets with specialisations in orthopaedics, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and acupuncture. This role offers a balanced mix of consultations and surgeries, with the flexibility to prioritise your preferences. The practice also supports a great work-life balance with flexible hours and protected admin time.

The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate, and possess excellent communication skills. You'll have the chance to work on a variety of cases, with the option to follow through internally or refer as needed. If you have an interest in exotics, the practice is open to developing this caseload further.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours over an optional 4 or 5-day week. 1:3 Saturdays with time off in lieu, no OOH. Part-time (upwards of 30 hours per week) can also be considered.

Why join them?

Established in 1982, this practice has grown into a group of four small animal practices across Kent. Each branch is equipped with consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards, prep rooms, and sterile surgical theatres. The practice offers in-house laboratory services, digital x-ray, ultrasound facilities, and endoscopy across the group. The team is led by experienced professionals and supported by a robust managerial structure, ensuring comprehensive support for all staff.

Join a practice where professional development is encouraged, and a flexible approach to work is embraced. They are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse culture, ensuring all qualified applicants receive equal consideration for employment.
