Are you a passionate veterinary surgeon looking for a new challenge in a supportive and inclusive environment? Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to join their friendly and dynamic team. Here the team is the heart of the practice. Many team members have been with the practice for over four years, with some boasting over a decade of service. This longevity speaks volumes about the supportive and nurturing environment cultivated by the practice owner. Since new ownership in 2016, the practice has experienced great success, building a stellar reputation within the local community and consistently earning five-star reviews from a loyal and growing client base.
The practice is well-structured, offering 15-minute consultations as standard, with 30 minutes allocated for more complex cases or for graduates. Each day, one vet is dedicated to operations, with consultations starting later in the afternoon. The schedule includes ample 'run over breaks' and emergency slots to ensure a smooth workflow. Regular catch-ups and clinical meetings every 6 to 8 weeks ensure continuous professional development and team cohesion.
Flexibility is a key benefit of this role, with hours tailored to achieve a healthy work-life balance. The position includes a shared weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays, limited to routine appointments with no surgeries.
The newly expanded and refurbished practice provides a bright and airy environment equipped with all the necessary tools for a solid GP practice, including separate cat and dog wards and two theatres. Located in the picturesque region of Cornwall, the practice is surrounded by stunning scenery and some of the UK's best beaches, just a short drive away.
The ideal candidate will have solid GP experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering the highest level of veterinary care. Package includes:
a competitive salary of up to £60,000 FTE
5.6 weeks of annual leave (pro-rata for part-time)
paid memberships (RCVS and VDS)
life insurance
a contributory pension scheme
a dedicated CPD allowance with support towards certificates
additional perks include the Cycle to Work Scheme, access to colleague assistance programmes, and exclusive company discount.
