Are you an experienced vet seeking a fulfilling role in a supportive and vibrant environment? My client, located in a picturesque coastal town in Lancashire, is looking for a dedicated veterinarian to join their long-standing team. With a competitive salary of up to £60,000 (FTE, DOE), this is a role that offers both professional satisfaction and an enviable work-life balance.

Imagine working just a five-minute walk from the beach, in a practice renowned for its low staff turnover and close-knit, family-like atmosphere. The team get involved in regular social activities, including hikes with their dogs, fostering a strong sense of community and well-being. The practice prioritises staff welfare, holding daily meetings to discuss work or simply to catch up socially.

The practice boasts a supportive team of two vets, three RVNs, and two SVNs, along with a dedicated front-of-house team. The nurses are highly involved, taking on as much Schedule 3 work as possible to ease the pressure on vets. This collaborative environment is perfect for a vet interested in coaching new graduates and contributing to the future of veterinary talent.

The practice is easily accessible by public transport, being opposite the train station. The spacious facility includes three consult rooms and a separate x-ray room, providing an excellent work environment.

The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply. The role is full-time with 15-minute appointments, protected lunch breaks, and operations finished by 1.30 pm. While the practice is currently closed on weekends, there may be occasional Saturday morning shifts in the future. Flexibility in working days can be discussed. Package includes:

Up to £60,000 (FTE, DOE)
5.6 weeks of holiday (increasing after two years)
Private healthcare contributions
Life assurance
A contributory pension scheme
Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
A dedicated CPD allowance, and funding for certificates.
Additional perks include a relocation allowance, cycle-to-work scheme, access to colleague assistance programs, and exclusive company discounts.

If you are passionate about providing exceptional veterinary care in a supportive and dynamic environment this could be the perfect place for you.
