We are excited to be representing this client as they have a fantastic opportunity available in their independent veterinary hospital in Bedford.
They have been established for over 60 years and are very well known in this county town, with a loyal client base, providing 1st and 2nd opinion care to small animals and exotics. In addition to the hospital there are two satellite clinics, each a short drive from the main hospital site.
They are currently recruiting for an veterinary surgeon to join their team of 12 veterinary surgeons, including Advanced Practitioners and certificate holders in cardio, imaging and medicine plus 15 veterinary nurses, and support staff. As you would expect from working in a hospital environment, there is an exciting caseload and an ability to work cases through as they provide their own OOH. They are very well equipped, as you would expect a modern purpose built hospital to be, with digital and dental x-ray, brand new and state of the art echo and ultrasound, endoscopy, separate wards for different species, isolation ward, in house laboratory and on site hydro/physio aquatic treadmill, just for starters!
They can offer flexibility with the rota and offer either a part time or full time option. There is one night on call during the week and a one in four weekend rota. There is huge potential for you to continue to develop your skills here and gain further skills or certification with support financially and with the caseload. If you have an interest in exotics then this could be an ideal role also, but it is not a requirement.
