Veterinary Surgeon - Part-Time Role in Southwest London
Are you a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon seeking a fulfilling part-time role within a supportive and dynamic team? Look no further. Nestled in the borough of Kingston upon Thames, this practice has recently undergone an exciting refurbishment and expansion, creating a vibrant and modern environment for both staff and clients.
Why This Role Stands Out:
- Supportive Team Environment: Join a friendly and collaborative team consisting of 5 vets, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), a Practice Manager (also an RVN), 3 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 6 Receptionists. The team boasts a variety of interests, including exotic animal medicine, ensuring a rich and diverse working experience.
- Professional Growth: Under the leadership of the practice owner, an experienced general practitioner, the practice is committed to supporting further education and professional development. A generous CPD budget is available, and additional certificates are encouraged, allowing you to carve out a niche in your chosen field, be it medicine, surgery, or another speciality.
- Flexible Working Hours: This part-time role offers flexible hours to ensure an optimal work-life balance. While some weekend work may be required, there are no out-of-hours responsibilities, and sole charge duties are occasional.
- State-of-the-Art Facilities: The practice is equipped with the latest technology, including in-house IDEXX blood machines, a new ultrasound machine, a rigid endoscope, a Tonovet, a laser machine, and an exceptional direct digital X-ray machine. A new dental X-ray machine further enhances the diagnostic capabilities.
Role Requirements:
- Experience and Confidence: The ideal candidate will be an experienced and self-sufficient vet, confident in handling all routine consultations and surgeries. Comfort with sole charge is essential, as is the ability to mentor and support two new graduates who joined the practice recently.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience and total hours.
- Contributory Pension Scheme: Secure your future with a robust pension plan.
