This small, independent practice is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of 2 vets, plus 1 long term locum vet, 5 registered vet nurses and 2 student vet nurses, where you will play an integral part in providing excellent patient care and leading the practice forward.
This role is full time, permanent, working 4-day weeks - 9am-1pm and 3pm-7pm, with 1 in 3 weekends – Saturday 9am-1pm and 3pm-5pm and Sunday 9am-1pm with no out of hours. You will be working 80% of the time in the main branch and 20% at their sister branch. The practice currently has 2 sites, the main branch where much of the team are based, offering general consultations/surgery and more advanced procedures and a second 1 vet site, which offers routine procedures and consults morning and afternoon. All vets working in the practice work between the 2 practices to ensure continuity, understanding and teamwork throughout.
Applicants will work well sole charge and as part of a team, be enthusiastic and passionate about the industry and ideally have at least one years’ experience in general practice. You will also be eager to always maintain the highest standard of client and patient care.
The practice itself is fully equipped with consult rooms, theatres, imaging suite and inhouse laboratory. It offers a varied caseload with a good number of rabbit cases as well as the usual small animal caseload. They currently see a lot of soft tissue cases and are keen to build their orthopaedic services, so this is ideally suited for anyone with an interest in this area. The practice are keen to encourage your personal and professional development and offer a generous CPD allowance tailored to your needs including support in completing post graduate certificates.
You will be based in Surrey just a short train ride from London, with excellent public transport and a stunning mix of local entertainment, restaurants, shops, historic towns and country parks just a stone’s throw away. You also have Heathrow airport on your doorstop for travel throughout the UK and further afield.
