Are you a passionate and experienced vet looking to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners?
A friendly small animal practice in West Sussex is eager to welcome an enthusiastic veterinary professional to their dedicated team.
Why This Role Stands Out:
This practice is renowned for its exceptional veterinary care, delivered with a compassionate touch. Here, you’ll have the chance to engage deeply with each case, thanks to comprehensive workups and a busy caseload. The supportive environment ensures you can go the extra mile for every patient, making each day both rewarding and fulfilling.
Meet the Team:
You’ll be joining a fantastic group of 9 experienced vets, 9 qualified nurses, dedicated trainee nurses, and a welcoming front-of-house team. Many team members are pursuing certificates, and the practice fully supports professional growth, encouraging exploration of any areas of interest that enhance their services.
State-of-the-Art Facilities:
The practice boasts a purpose-built, recently renovated facility equipped with modern conveniences such as digital X-ray, ultrasonography, in-house laboratory facilities, and separate wards for dogs, cats, and isolation cases. With a loyal client base, you’ll have the resources to provide the highest standard of care.
What They’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, strong medical and surgical skills, and a genuine desire to continue learning and developing. A deep care for patients, a commitment to doing the best for clients, and the ability to work well within a team are essential. The role primarily involves consultations, with at least one dedicated operations day each week.
Work-Life Balance:
Understanding the importance of flexibility, the practice is open to tailoring hours to fit your lifestyle. While the ideal candidate can commit to 40 hours per week, part-time options are available. Typical shifts are 8am - 6pm or 10am - 8pm (with only one late shift per week), and 1 weekend (Sat 9-6, Sun 10-4) a month. Plus, there’s no sole charge work and no OOH responsibilities.
In Return, You’ll Receive:
- A competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience)
- Generous CPD/support to pursue a certificate or other qualification
- Clinical freedom
- Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS, BVA, ISFM)
