A new independent veterinary practice in Surrey is seeking a dedicated Clinical Director to join their team. This role offers a unique chance to lead a passionate team and make a significant impact on animal welfare.
**About the Practice:**
The practice boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including ultrasound, x-ray, dental x-ray, and an Idexx lab, with plans to add an endoscope and a CT scanner. The spacious environment includes separate waiting areas for dogs and cats, three consulting rooms, two theatres, a large prep area, a dog ward, a cat ward, an isolation room, and a staff room. The practice prides itself on delivering high-quality care for pets and maintaining a compassionate approach to animal welfare.
**Role Details:**
The position is full-time, working four days a week from 9 am to 7 pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. There are no out-of-hours commitments, ensuring a healthy work/life balance.
**Candidate Profile:**
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience and be proficient in routine surgery and medicine. Strong communication skills, the ability to work within a team, and the capability to handle sole charge responsibilities are essential. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Delivering high standards of clinical care with empathy and professionalism.
- Providing guidance and leadership to ensure adherence to performance measures.
- Upholding exceptional clinical quality and care standards while fostering continuous improvement.
- Implementing and enforcing relevant policies and procedures for team compliance.
- Conducting consultations, surgeries, and treatments for patients.
- Participating in the recruitment and selection of staff.
- Collaborating with colleagues to drive practice development.
- Managing the sourcing and reordering of dispensary stock.
- Coordinating arrangements for locum cover as required.
