Are you a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for both surgical and medical excellence? This small animal practice has recently undergone an exciting refurbishment, extension, and rebrand, making it an invigorating time to join this dynamic team.
Under new leadership, the practice has been driven forward with a commitment to exceptional client care and they are now keen to welcome a surgically experienced Veterinary Surgeon to the team.
Joining this team means becoming part of a supportive and engaged team comprising 3 Vets, 2 Nurses, an SVN, a VCA, and 4 Receptionists. The practice offers a stimulating environment with a diverse caseload and state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring you can fully utilise and further develop your skills. There is strong support for postgraduate qualifications, CPD, and training in your areas of interest, with current team members specialising in ultrasonography, cardiology, feline medicine, and internal medicine.
Located near Maidstone in Kent, the practice is conveniently close to the M20 and main bus routes, making commuting a breeze. Maidstone, nestled in the heart of Kent’s picturesque ‘garden of England’ countryside, is just over an hour from London and numerous international airports. This prime location offers the perfect balance of outdoor adventures and city nightlife, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
The ideal candidate will be a confident Veterinary Surgeon with robust surgical and medical skills, comfortable handling a varied caseload of routine and specific procedures. Additionally, the ability to mentor junior vets and support new graduates is essential.
This full-time role operates on a rota basis, totalling 40 hours per week. They can offer a competitive salary of up to £70k, dependent on experience, along with a generous benefits package including:
- 5.6 weeks of annual leave, increasing to 6.6 weeks after 2 years of service, including Bank Holidays
- No out-of-hours work
- Paid professional memberships (RCVS, VDS, BVA)
- Dedicated CPD allowance
- Contributory pension scheme
