Are you a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a compassionate and dynamic team? This role offers the perfect blend of professional fulfilment and personal satisfaction, set against the stunning backdrop of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. With easy access to the M6 and mainline trains, and just a short drive to Kendal or Lancaster, this position combines the best of both worlds—serene countryside and convenient connectivity.

This independent small animal practice is committed to delivering the highest standard of patient and client care. The ethos here revolves around clinical excellence and exceptional customer service, fostering strong relationships with clients. Whether offering a gold standard workup or providing suitable alternatives for those who prefer less invasive procedures, the practice supports clients with empathy and understanding through difficult choices.

The practice boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a full Idexx laboratory, ECG, capnography, sterile theatre, dental equipment, digital radiography, and ultrasound. The team environment is equally impressive, offering a calm, fear-free atmosphere for patients and a clean, safe, and supportive space for team members to grow and develop. Plus, there’s always an abundance of tea, biscuits, and cake to keep spirits high.

The role involves consulting hours from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays, with some sole charge duties. The practice prides itself on its lovely clients and an amazing support team, ensuring a rewarding work experience. Full-time positions are available at 40 hours per week, with part-time options also on offer. The holiday allowance is flexible, ranging from 6 to 12 weeks, negotiable with the package. Salary is dependent on experience, ensuring a fair and competitive remuneration.

To ensure thorough and compassionate care, challenging consultations are often allocated 30-minute slots, while standard vaccine appointments are 15 minutes, and euthanasias are given 30 minutes where possible. This thoughtful scheduling allows for high-quality, attentive care for every patient.

If you are passionate about veterinary care and looking to join a supportive and forward-thinking team, this role could be the perfect fit for you.
