Head Nurse - Manchester

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to sick and injured patients, ensuring all records are meticulously maintained.
- Administer treatments, perform diagnostic tests, and assist in surgeries.
- Lead the nursing team, including hiring, training, and creating rotas.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the practice.
- Handle client queries and complaints with professionalism.
- Ensure student nurses receive adequate training and support.
- Foster effective communication between all departments.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones, appraisals, and return-to-work interviews.
- Manage performance, absence, grievances, and disputes within the nursing team.
- Oversee student placements and college inspections.
- Assist in recruitment processes, including job descriptions, shortlisting, interviewing, and probationary reviews.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure team members are capable.
- Review and update clinical area protocols as needed.
- Undertake CPD as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive veterinary experience coupled with strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, confident in interacting at all levels.
