Are you a dedicated veterinary surgeon seeking a flexible and fulfilling role that allows you to work from home? This unique opportunity enables you to provide essential out-of-hours (OOH) care while enjoying the comfort of your own space. Our client, a rapidly growing practice in the UK, is looking for compassionate and skilled vets to join their Manchester team.

In this role, you will conduct out-of-hours (OOH) home visits, addressing various emergency cases such as suture repairs and unblocking cats. Surgical cases will be referred back to the client’s own practice or their OOH service provider. All necessary equipment, including a mobile ultrasound, will be provided. Candidates must have a clean driving license and their own car, with mileage reimbursed.

You'll gain valuable experience with a variety of emergency cases and enhance your skills through on-the-job training and shadowing until you're confident working independently. You will be part of a friendly and diverse team, with support from Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) and an on-call vet. Depending on your interests, there may be opportunities to lead teams and engage in non-clinical development in the future.

The ideal candidate should have some experience, though confident new graduates will also be considered. You should be comfortable handling a wide range of emergency cases, even without specific emergency and critical care (ECC) experience. While surgical skills are not required, you must be confident in suturing wounds and strong communication skills are essential for effectively liaising with clients and other veterinary professionals.

Benefits:
•    Up to £60,000 per annum FTE + bonus scheme
•    Annual CPD allowance of £1,000 for those on a permanent contract
