Are you ready to begin a rewarding adventure with a charming small animal practice nestled in the heart of Salisbury?  Our clients are looking for a committed Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a team that radiates warmth and camaraderie. Imagine working amidst the splendour of historic Wiltshire, with the New Forest as your backdrop, Stonehenge a stone's throw away, and the stunning coast a mere 30-minute drive. Not to mention, you will have London's vibrant scene just over an hour away by train.

This practice boasts a prime location in a bustling retail park, complete with a 24-hour gym for your pre/post-work fitness sessions. You will be joining a team of two skilled vets, three nurturing nurses (including an exceptional second-year student), and two Veterinary Care Assistants, all supported by a diligent Practice Manager and four welcoming receptionists. The clinic offers you access to cutting-edge equipment and technology, allowing for the highest standard of care.

This role calls for a cheerful, grounded, and passionate RVN with a heartfelt commitment to animal welfare. The ideal candidate will possess robust general nursing experience, stellar customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, where no two days are the same. Adaptability is key, as the practice values the diverse approaches brought by permanent and locum vets alike.

This position offers you a competitive salary of up to £30,000 per annum, with a range of hours available for both full-time and part-time arrangements. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 7 pm, and Saturday 9 am – 3 pm, ensuring you a work-life balance without the demand of out-of-hours or overnight in-patient checks.

Additional perks include a generous Continuing Professional Development (CPD) allowance, with funded certificates to foster growth, contributory pension schemes, and paid professional memberships (RCVS, BVNA, VDS).  You would also benefit from exclusive company and high street discounts and rewards.

For those with at least one year of veterinary experience who are eager to apply their nursing prowess—from running clinics to monitoring anaesthetics—this role offers you the chance to make a significant impact in a first opinion practice that prides itself on exceptional pet healthcare and customer service.  With a busy caseload and a supportive team eager to help you utilize your skills and expand your knowledge daily, this is an incredible opportunity for someone enthusiastic about making a difference.

This is more than a role; it's a chance to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners while advancing your career in a picturesque and historic setting. To join this vibrant team and contribute to a community of passionate veterinary professionals, please contact Laura Collings through Laura@vettedrecruitment.co.ukor 07570 606201 today.

Please note you must be a qualified Veterinary Nurse eligible to register with the RCVS and able to demonstrate right to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
