Are you a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role where your well-being and professional growth are prioritised? This practice, established in 2014, is committed to creating an environment where every team member can excel. Here, you’ll find a supportive atmosphere that values your time and expertise, ensuring you can provide the best care to your clients.

Why This Role Stands Out:

- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy 15-minute consults with regular ‘block outs’ to manage your schedule effectively, allowing for more complex cases and administrative tasks. First vaccinations and euthanasia appointments are given 30 minutes, ensuring you have the time needed for these important consultations. Structured diaries ensure you get a full hour lunch break and finish on time.

- Fair Compensation: Overtime is paid, recognising the extra effort when caseloads extend beyond regular hours. This applies to all team members, including vets, ensuring you are fairly compensated for your dedication.

- Collaborative Environment: Daily team meetings provide a platform for everyone to voice concerns and share ideas, fostering a collaborative and responsive workplace culture.

- Professional Development: As an RCVS Practice Standards Scheme accredited General Practice and an RCVS Approved Graduate Development Practice, the team includes experienced vets and nurses with specialised qualifications. You’ll have access to £1,500 and 35 paid hours of CPD annually, with the possibility of funding a certificate for the right candidate.

Role Details:

- Flexible Working: Open to both full and part-time applicants, with full-time vets having the option to work a 4 or 5-day week. The rota includes 1 in 3 Saturdays, averaging 40 hours per week. Out of hours and inpatient care are covered by Vets Now.

- State-of-the-Art Facilities: Work in a well-equipped practice with three consulting rooms, a separate theatre and prep area, and distinct cat, dog, and isolation wards. Equipment includes digital x-ray, ultrasound with Doppler and ECG, electrocautery, and more.

- Diverse Caseload: Primarily treating dogs and cats, with some small furries like rabbits and guinea pigs. No routine work with birds and reptiles, and assistant vets are not expected to perform OV work.

Who Should Apply:

This role is ideal for both recent graduates and experienced vets. The practice is equipped to support recent graduates or those returning to practice after a career break, while also welcoming seasoned professionals. Consulting-only roles are also available, offering flexibility to suit your career aspirations.

Join a team that values your skills and supports your professional journey. Apply now to become part of a practice where your voice is heard, and your expertise is valued.
