Are you a dedicated veterinarian looking to join a dynamic and supportive team? This is your chance to become part of a vibrant veterinary practice in County Durham, where the well-being of patients and their families is at the heart of everything. This RCVS accredited small animal practice boasts a purpose-built facility and a team of seven experienced vets, each bringing unique skills and interests to the table. Supported by an enthusiastic and collaborative team, this practice is committed to making life better for its patients and their families.

Imagine working in a location that offers the best of both worlds. If you have a passion for the great outdoors, you’ll be thrilled with the beautiful beaches of the Northumberland coastline, the stunning landscapes of the North Pennines, and the breathtaking Lake District, all within easy reach. Additionally, the historic cities of Durham and Newcastle are nearby, offering rich cultural experiences and vibrant city life.

This role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time positions available, and a salary that reflects your experience. The standard workweek is four days, with a shared rota for Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm. The role includes evening on-call duties and inpatient care, supported by other vets and an out-of-hours provider, ensuring you are never alone. Nursing staff are also on-site for out-of-hours inpatient care.

The practice is well-equipped with an in-house lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopy facilities and proudly holds the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Gold Award.

Professional development is a priority here. VDS and RCVS fees are covered, and CPD is actively supported and funded. The practice encourages individual areas of interest, with one vet currently holding a Cert AVP and another working towards it.

Join a team where your growth and well-being are valued, and where you can make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families. Are you a dedicated veterinarian looking to join a dynamic and supportive team?
