Are you an enthusiastic veterinary surgeon looking for a 100% small animal role in a fantastic area? Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and building strong client relationships? Then look no further, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Our clients are based in the southern edge of Gloucestershire bordering the beautiful Cotswolds offering fantastic local scenery, walks, independent cafes and shops and so much more for you to explore in your free time.  Having been open and caring for pets in the surrounding area for over 100 years our clients have built up a loyal and varied client base and their team consists of a mix of more experienced team members and those more recently graduated.

They are currently looking for a small animal vet to join their team of 3 FTE vets, where you will be supported every day by a dedicated nursing team of 4 RVN’s (one of whom is also the practice manager) and 2 SVN’s.  This role is full time, permanent, working a 5 day week with a 1 hour lunch break built into the day where the practice is closed, guaranteeing everyone time to stop without being disturbed.  You will also work either 1in2 or 1in4 Saturday mornings, seeing emergency appointments only, no routine consults on Saturdays, and as our clients work with a local referral centre who cover all their out of hours, you will have no Sunday or evening shift requirements.
Candidates will ideally be proactive and passionate about their role both in caring for patients and clients but also as part of the larger practice team.  You will have good communication skills both verbal and written and be excited about bringing a positive and forward-thinking attitude to your everyday.

This role is ideal for new graduates as there is a Vet GDP advisor in place and you will have the time and caseload to build your skills and knowledge with the support of the team.  It would also be perfect for anyone looking for work on a certificate or improve their surgery and/or medicine skills and again the small and supportive team will provide you with whatever you need to continue your development.

Benefits:
  • Generous salary of £40,000 to £52,000
  • Accommodation can be provided if required
  • Annual holiday entitlement of 6.6 weeks paid holiday, including Bank Holidays
  • Generous annual CPD allowance, which you will be actively encouraged to use
  • Private medical insurance
  • Professional membership fees paid, as well as two other membership subscriptions
  • Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental leave, and surrogacy pay
  • Employee discounts
  • No out of hours or Sunday shifts
  • VISA Sponsorship available
