A delightful veterinary practice in Blackheath, London, is seeking a confident vet to join their esteemed team. This practice, known for its excellent reputation within the group and local community, offers a unique blend of professional challenge and personal satisfaction.
Situated on the route of the London Marathon, the practice is easily accessible from Central London and is close to historic Greenwich and three major London airports. Commuting is convenient with options including train, DLR, and road, and the practice provides free onsite parking.
The practice handles a varied caseload, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and small furries. The practice is committed to developing talent, so if there is a specific area of veterinary medicine you are passionate about, this could be the perfect place to nurture your interests.
The modern, well-equipped facility is built to industry-leading standards and includes digital X-ray, ultrasound, lab, and pharmacy facilities. The team comprises 2 full-time vets, 1 part-time vet, 2 RVNs, 3 student veterinary nurses, and 3 veterinary care assistants.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery, with the ability to manage routine medical and surgical cases independently. The role offers flexibility with full or part-time hours (minimum 23 hours per week) over 2-4 days, including 1 in 3 Saturdays. There is occasional sole charge responsibility but no out-of-hours work, ensuring a healthy work/life balance.
